People looking to register their Power of Attorney (POA) can apply for a reduction or exemption from paying the usual £82 fee.

Anyone earning less than £12,000 a year can download a form via the GOV.UK website and apply for a 50% reduced fee of £41.

People who are on benefits can apply for exemption, and will not have to pay the charge.

What is a POA?

A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) allows your loved ones to take care of you and your finances if you become unable to do so yourself.

Using a solicitor is much more efficient, as it will prevent any mistakes/loopholes being made. Our experienced probate solicitors can help guide you through the process.
