Our private client services
The importance of making a will cannot be overstated. It allows you to dictate what happens to your estate and what beneficiaries are entitled to.

Probate is the legal right to deal with someone’s property, money and possessions (
their estate/possessions when they die.
Our private client legal services offer tailor-made wills, taking into consideration the personal circumstances of every client.
We also offer inheritance tax planning services and probate administration services.
We can help ensure that the whole probate process goes as smoothly as possible.

Our wills and probate team is:

Key stages of the process
Every estate and every Will is different. The exact probate process can vary depending on the instructions left in the Will and the assets, creditors, and beneficiaries the estate has.
The basic process for an executor is:
Gather the full details of the estate’s assets and debts
Apply for Grant of Probate (permission to administer the estate and pass out inheritance)
Complete an inheritance tax return and pay any tax due
You receive a Grant of Probate
Repay any of the deceased’s outstanding debts
Distribute the rest of the estate according to the instructions left in the Will.
Probate can also be complicated if there are any disputes between the executor, beneficiaries, creditors, or HMRC.
